A homeowner located in Bearsville, NY living in a lovely pale-yellow home, contacted us because their basement was suffering from occasional flooding. After heavy rains they would sometimes get up to an inch total of water. Our specialist Lukas headed out to the home to inspect the basement and meet with the homeowner. After inspecting the basement, Lukas proposed a full waterproofing solution for this homeowner so this issue would become a concern of the past. These products included our DryTrak System paired with our BrightWall panels, TripleSafe Sump Pump System with an IceGuard, and our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier.
The DryTrak System is made specifically for homes with monolithic foundations. Intense and long hours of jackhammering a thick concrete slab are not necessary because this interior drainage system gets permanently epoxied to the floor. The small opening at the top allows it to collect the water seeping through the walls. Our team made sure to include BrightWall panels extending two feet up the wall behind the DryTrak System to ensure that any water leaking through would funnel directly into the DryTrak System. These waterproof; rigid plastic panels also act as vapor barrier and block water vapor and humidity from passing through the walls. The water then gets drained into the TripleSafe Sump Pump we installed, which is equipped with three lines of defense against flooding thanks to its extremely powerful cast-iron Zoeller horsepower pumps and battery backup system. As an extra measure of protection, we also installed the IceGuard to the outside of the discharge line to ensure that water had a way to escape in the event the discharge line freezes or gets clogged during the winter. The slotted openings in this device allow the water to escape from your home, so when the colder months come rolling in you do not have to fret.
Finally, we finished the job by installing our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to help control the moisture and humidity inside the basement. This extremely efficient dehumidifier removes up to 100 pints of water from the basement air per day and uses the same amount of energy as a 40-pint dehumidifier to do it.
Once the job was done this homeowner no longer had to worry about their concrete block wall basement filling with water after heavy rains. They finally had a trustworthy waterproofing system in place to keep the basement dry and healthy!
A homeowner located in Bearsville, NY contacted us because their sump pump needed to be fixed. In addition to a sump pump, the homeowner also wanted to put a vapor barrier on their basement walls, so we installed our CleanSpace Wall System. This system acts as a barrier and prevents water vapor from passing through the foundation walls and into the basement. It even features built-in anti-microbial protection, which means that no mold or mildew can grow on the CleanSpace Wall System.
Once our crew was done installing these products, the homeowner felt much better and knew their basement would be protected from floods and water vapor!
