The Basement Transformer serving Eldred, NY

A homeowner in Eldred, NY contacted us after being fed up with the water damage inside his basement. We got this homeowner on a schedule for a free estimate with our specialist Dimitri. Dimitri went to inspect the basement and saw efflorescence had coated large portions of the concrete block walls. This was a clear sign that water had been slowly coming through the walls. This system would be responsible for handling the incoming water that leaks through the walls. It collects the water using its built-in wall flange that extends up the basement walls at 3/8”. The WaterGuard System then takes the water it has collected and drains it into the TripleSafe Sump Pump System we installed. Thanks to its two cast-iron Zoeller horsepower pumps and battery backup system, thousands of gallons of water will be discharged from this basement, and it will be protected from floods – big or small! Two IceGuards were also installed on the discharge lines for the sump pump to prevent floods from happening due to a clogged or frozen line during the winter. 

To take care of the unsightly basement walls covered in efflorescence, our team installed our BrightWall panels. Their bright color and clean appearance helped to make these basement walls look fantastic. These panels create a vapor barrier over the basement walls that prevent water vapor or humidity from passing through. They are made from rigid plastic and help direct any water seepage into the WaterGuard System itself. 

For the finishing touch, our team installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to keep the basement air and the contents inside nice and dry! This super powerful dehumidifier eliminates that musty smell from the basement and removes up to 100 pints of water from the air per day.
