Giving a Homeowner a Trustworthy Sump Pump in Stony Point, NY

A homeowner located in Stony Point, NY had an unreliable sump pump located in the corner of her basement. This sump pump was simply a hole in the ground with a pump in it, and covering the hole were strips of black duct tape. Not to mention the discharge line only extended a mere four feet outside of the home. This meant that any water getting pumped out was so close to the home, that it was highly likely it would find its way back into the house. These types of pumps are extremely unreliable and will not help protect your home from flooding or when the heavy rain comes. Our specialist Dimitri met with the homeowner and proposed that we install our TripleSafe Sump Pump liner with a 1/3 horsepower Zoeller cast-iron pump. This cast-iron pump is capable of discharging 2,220 gallons of water per hour at an 8-foot head. Our crew also made sure to make the discharge line at a reasonable distance from the home, fifteen feet to be exact. This was much better than the previous four feet that the old sump pump had. With this long of a discharge line, the homeowner did not have to worry about the water coming into the house again. To provide even more protection during the wintertime or in the event of a clogged discharge line, we also installed our IceGuard. This device goes over the top of the discharge line, and the slotted openings allow the water to escape even if the discharge line freezes or gets backed up somehow. This ensures that the basement will not flood if either of these situations were to happen. With this this sump pump system in place, the homeowner no longer had to worry about a faulty pump not getting the job done.
