The Basement Transformer serving Tuxedo Park, NY

A homeowner in Tuxedo Park, NY living in a tan house with maroon accents contacted us because he was having issues with water intrusion in his basement, and his foundation walls were not stable. A member of our appointment center team got him on the schedule for a free estimate with our specialist, Lukas. Lukas headed out to the home to assess the situation and proposed a full waterproofing solution and a way to stabilize the walls permanently by the end of the appointment. The homeowner agreed and in late June our crew got to work. 

First our foreman and his team started off by jackhammering away at the concrete slab to make room for the interior drainage system, known as the WaterGuard System, to go around the perimeter of the basement. 

It sits on top the foundation footing and has large drainage openings that make it resistant to clogging. It catches the water from leaky basement walls thanks to its built-in wall flange.

On the wet basement walls themselves, our CleanSpace Wall System was installed. This waterproof barrier stops moisture from coming through the concrete block walls. 

To discharge the water out and away from the basement all together, we installed the TripleSafe Sump Pump System. With its two horsepower Zoeller cast-iron pumps and battery backup system, it can pump out thousands of gallons of water. The WaterGuard System will drain any water it has collected into this sump pump, making them the perfect team for handling water seepage in a basement.  

To keep humidity low in the basement, the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed. It can take up to 100 pints of water out of the basement air per day. 

Finally, to stabilize the walls, we used our PowerBrace Foundation Wall Repair System. This system is made up of steel I-beams that get secured to the joists on top of the wall using steel brackets. Unlike wooden beams, these will not rot due to moisture and prevent any more damage from occurring. 

Once the crew was done, this homeowner was left with a dry and stable basement.
