Finishing and Waterproofing a Basement in West Nyack, NY

A basement in West Nyack, NY was in need of some remodeling and was experiencing water issues. The homeowner reached out to our company to see how we could help achieve his goals of making his basement a dry and healthy environment. Our appointment center got him on the schedule for a free estimate, and our specialist Bryon went to assess the situation in the basement. Bryon determined that this lovely olive-green house with a brick staircase needed our basement finishing products and our WaterGuard System to help transform it into a dry space. Making sure a basement stays dry and wet free is the key to ensuring that it’s a healthy and usable space for homeowners and their families to use. Our crew installed our EverLast Insulated Perimeter Walls and EverLast Wall Restoration System to help the walls inside this basement stay damage free in the event water ever encountered them. The EverLast Insulated Perimeter Walls cannot suffer from damage due to moisture and do not support mold or mildew growth. They will also keep this homeowner’s basement nice and warm due to the thick rigid foam insulation, which will not get damaged from moisture unlike fiberglass. The EverLast Wall Restoration System came in handy for the portion of the already finished basement walls that were only damaged on the lower half. These walls do not require taping, spackling, and once again cannot be damaged by water.

Our interior drainage system, known as WaterGuard was installed to collect any leaking water from the unfinished basement walls in another area of the basement. It can do this thanks to its built-in wall flange that extends up the wall at 3/8”.

Once our crew was done with the installation, the homeowner now had walls that would withstand a basement environment and a drainage system that would combat water intrusion.
