The Basement Transformer serving Cornwall On Hudson, NY

A homeowner located in Cornwall on Hudson, NY contacted us because he was noticing small pools and puddles of water forming in his basement. He could not tell exactly where the water was coming from. He also noticed that his crawl space would get water inside of it, every time it rained. Our specialist Paul headed out to his home to conduct a free inspection and propose a solution to these issues. Paul suggested that we install a complete waterproofing system and both encapsulate and insulate the crawl space. The homeowner agreed, and our crew got to work in early April. 

The crew began by jackhammering a portion of the concrete slab to make room for the interior drainage system known as the WaterGuard System. The WaterGuard System collects water from leaking walls thanks to its built-in wall flange. Behind that, we placed a small strip of our BrightWall Panels to help drain any water coming from the walls into this drainage system. The TripleSafe Sump Pump System that we installed is responsible for taking all this water out and away from the home. Thanks to its two cast-iron Zoller horsepower pumps and battery backup system, it can discharge thousands of gallons of water. It will truly make sure this basement is protected from floods. As the final touch, we installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to keep the humidity under control inside the basement. 

For the crawl space, we used our CleanSpace Encapsulation System to seal it off from the earth and prevent water vapor from getting inside. We placed our SilverGlo insulated panels on the short walls of the crawl space to keep the crawl space air from getting cold and to stop air leaks. 

Once our team was done, this homeowner had a dry basement and crawl space!
