Job Stories From Florida, NY
Installing a Full Basement Waterproofing System in Florida, NY

A family with a garage that doubles as a basement reached out to us because they were having issues with water intrusion.

We got them on the schedule for a free estimate with our specialist, Lukas. He headed out to the home to conduct an inspection of the space. After speaking to both of them about all their concerns, Lukas crafted a proposal and presented it to them at the end of the appointment. They agreed to move forward with what Lukas proposed, and in late September of 2026 our crew got to work.

They started off by installing the interior drainage system known as DryTrak around the perimeter of the basement. This system is designed specifically for monolithic foundations, such as the one in this basement. This system also helps the crew avoid having to jackhammer through a thick concrete slab all around the edges of the basement. It gets permanently attached to the floor using an epoxy, and thanks to the opening at the top, it can receive and collect any incoming water.

Right on the inside of the garage door, we installed the XL TrenchDrain System which has a grated opening and will collect any water making its way through this entryway. Since we installed it on the inside, freezing is less likely to occur.

These two interior drains will then transport any water directly into the TripleSafe Sump Pump System we installed in one corner of the basement. It is made to discharge thousands of gallons of water thanks to its two powerful horsepower pumps and its battery backup system. The IceGuard is a special device we placed on the outside portion of the discharge line for the sump pump, in order to prevent floods due to a frozen or clogged discharge line in the wintertime. The slotted openings in the IceGuard allow the water to escape, should these scenarios occur.

On the walls themselves we installed the CleanSpace Wall System. This plastic barrier is totally waterproof and does not support mold growth thanks to its built in anti-microbial protection. It prevents humidity from passing through the foundation walls and helps direct the water into the DryTrak System. Finally, we installed the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier which removes up to 100 pints of water from the air per day, keeping the air dry while also drying out the contents of the basement. Now the homeowners can feel at ease knowing their basement is protected from water intrusion!

Combating Water Intrusion & Humidity in Florida, NY

A homeowner in Florida, NY went searching for help in the middle of May because she was having issues with water intrusion and humidity in her basement. She came across our company in her search for a solution and shortly after one of our transformation specialists headed out to her home to do a thorough inspection of the basement.

It was determined during the inspection that this basement needed a sump pump system and a dehumidifier to help combat the water intrusion and the humidity. After our transformation specialist discussed this with the homeowner, she agreed to the proposed solution and shortly after our production crew completed the job in late May.

The crew started out by clearing out a spot in the concrete slab with a jackhammer to make room for the SuperSump Premier Pump System.

This sump pump is designed to keep the basement dry for extended periods of time even when there’s heavy water intrusion occurring. It contains a very powerful 1/3 horsepower Zoeller cast-iron pump capable of discharging 2,220 gallons of water out and away from the basement.

Once the sump pump was in place, the concrete slab was restored.

We also placed a LawnScape outlet at the end of the discharge line for the sump pump to allow water to flow out onto the lawn but still be camouflaged and not all that obvious.

To keep the humidity under control, we installed our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier in the basement. This extremely efficient unit can remove up to 100 pints of water from the basement air per day and will eliminate that damp, musty smell by filtering the air. We even set it up to drain directly into the sump pump system, so the homeowner won’t have to worry about emptying buckets of water.

Once the work was completed, the homeowner no longer had to worry about water intrusion or humidity wreaking havoc on the basement.
