Damaged Basement
It was evident that water had made its way through the very bottom of these concrete block walls and the floor from the water stains left behind.
Jackhammering Begins for Pipes
We used our interior drainage system known as DryTrak to help collect the water from the walls. To prepare for it, the crew must jackhammer a series of channels to be able to install the pipes that go with it. Jackhammering is not done along the perimeter of the floor since the foundation in this basement is monolithic.
More Damage in the Basement
The basement in this corner near the electrical appliances was also in rough shape. Water stains were present here as well, and the overall appearance was not great.
CleanSpace and DryTrak Installed
To prevent water vapor and humidity from passing through the foundation walls, we installed the CleanSpace Wall System. This plastic barrier prevents such a thing from happening. The Dry Trak System has been permanently epoxied to the floor, and all the concrete has been restored. It receives any incoming water through the opening located at the top of the system, and the CleanSpace Wall System helps funnel water into it.
TripleSafe Protects Against Floods & SaniDry Sedona Controls Humidity
The TripleSafe Sump Pump System receives the water from the DryTrak System and discharges it out and away from the home. It has two powerful horsepower pumps that can handle discharging thousands of gallons of water. The battery backup system also helps the sump pump to keep functioning even if there's a power outage or tripped circuit. The SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier can remove up to 100 pints of water from the air per day and dries the contents of the basement at the same time.
XL Trench Drain
We installed this drainage system on the inside of the garage door to help collect any water coming through the entryway. The grated opening allows this to happen and installing it on the inside helps to prevent freezing during the wintertime. It will also funnel the water it collects over to the sump pump.
