Transforming a Crawl Space in Fort Montgomery, NY

A homeowner located in Fort Montgomery, NY reached out to our company via one of our local service ads to inquire about getting his crawl space encapsulated. Our appointment center representative got him on the schedule for a free estimate with one of our specialists. In early June our specialist headed out to the home to inspect the crawl space. The specialist proposed a solution to seal off the crawl space and the homeowner agreed to get the work done.

Just a few weeks later, our production crew made their way out to the home towards the end of June to complete the work.

This crawl space had a dirt floor with lots of uneven edges and a variety of different shaped stones on the ground.

The crew began by laying down some drainage matting over the dirt floor, which helps enhance the durability and longevity of the liner that was going to be placed on top.

To seal the crawl space off permanently from the earth, we used our CleanSpace Encapsulation System. This 20-mil reinforced polymer liner is completely waterproof, does not support mold growth, and prevents water vapor from being able to pass through. Now this homeowner can feel at ease knowing his crawl space is protected from moisture!

Drying Up a Damp Crawl Space in Fort Montgomery, NY

The SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System we put in place features a 1/3 horsepower Zoeller cast-iron pump capable of discharging 2,220 gallons of water from the home. Any water that comes in, will get transported out and away from this crawl space. It will keep it dry, even during times of heavy rain.

Finally, we put a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier inside to keep the humidity under control. This system can remove up to 100 pints of water from the air per day and works hard to distribute the dry air all throughout your crawl space. Once the team was done, the homeowner felt at ease knowing their crawl space was no longer the damp, dirt filled pit it once was!
