Basement Waterproofing & Crawl Space Repair in Monroe, NY

After finding our company online, a homeowner in Monroe, NY reached out to us to find out how we could help him finish his basement and protect it from floods. Our specialist headed out to his home to give a free estimate and help him determine what would be best for his basement. Upon the inspection, it could be seen that this basement stored lots of personal belongings, so protecting the basement from water and moisture was of the upmost importance. Our specialist proposed a solution that would both waterproof and finish the basement, the homeowner agreed, and soon after our crew got to work. 

For the waterproofing portion of the job, our crew applied forty-two feet of our BrightWall waterproof rigid plastic panels to the walls to prevent humidity and water vapor from passing through the walls. In one corner of the basement, we installed our SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System. This system can discharge 2,220 gallons of water per hour at an eight-foot head thanks to its 1/3 horsepower cast-iron pump. One the outside of the discharge line for the sump pump we included our IceGuard which has slotted openings that allow water to escape should the discharge line become frozen or clogged. 

For the basement finishing portion of the project, we used our EverLast Basement Wall Panels and our EverLast partition walls with metal studs on the walls. Our EverLast Basement Wall Panels are designed specifically to withstand a basement environment and will not get damaged by moisture. They cannot get moldy or rot away like drywall. They even include rigid foam insulation between 2.5” to 3.5” in thickness, keeping your basement feeling more comfortable. On the ceiling we used linen stone wool ceiling tiles which are sag resistant and do not support mold growth. For the finishing touches we also installed a new bi-fold door and ten recessed LED lights. Once we were done, the homeowner had a beautifully finished space protected from flooding that was ready to be used. 

A woman was purchasing a home with her son in Monroe, NY that came along with a problematic basement which raised concerns. It appeared that the basement was also in need of a new sump pump. Any water collected then gets redirected and drained directly into the TripleSafe Sump Pump System we placed inside this basement. It provides the ultimate protection against any floods thanks to its two cast-iron Zoeller horsepower pumps and the battery backup system which keeps it running even if there’s a power outage or tripped circuit. For the finishing touch, we placed our SaniDry Seodna dehumidifier inside to dry this basement’s air and the contents inside. This incredibly efficient system can remove up to 100 pints of water from the basement air per day, keeping the humidity under control. Once our team was done, this mother and son had a dry and healthy basement to enjoy for years to come!

The CleanSpace Encapsulation System is a 20-mil reinforced polymer liner that acts as a barrier and keeps moisture from seeping through and into your crawl space. It’s super strong, resistant to wear and tears, and does not support the growth of mold.
