Helping a Homeowner with a Failed Sump Pump in Montgomery, NY

A homeowner in Montgomery NY contacted us after his sump pump failed. He was looking for a better and larger system that could actually handle the volume of water coming inside his basement on occasion. We got the homeowner on the schedule for a free estimate with our specialist John. John spoke to the homeowner and made sure to address any concerns and questions the homeowner had. It turns out that when it rained, water would come into the basement from all over. The most water the homeowner saw at any given time was a few inches, but of course one inch of water in a basement is one too many. To help this homeowner protect his basement from any floods, John proposed installing a new and reliable sump pump that would be able to keep up with large volumes of water. The homeowner agreed, and our crew came and completed the job. They swapped out the old, faulty pump that was just an open hole in the concrete slab with a pump inside with our TripleSafe Sump Pump liner with a 1/3 horsepower Zoeller cast-iron pump. This pump has the capability to pump out 2,220 gallons of water per hour at an eight-foot head. It also has an airtight lid, which means water will not overflow or evaporate back into the basement. Now the homeowner has peace of mind knowing there’s a trustworthy sump pump in the basement to handle large volumes of water intrusion.

Waterproofing a Finished Basement in Montgomery, NY

A homeowner living in a tan home surrounded by luscious trees contacted our company after dealing with issues pertaining to water intrusion inside his finished basement. It was a fully refurbished basement from top to bottom. Equipped with a bedroom, a living area, and a bathroom – it was crucial that we stepped in to help this homeowner preserve the integrity of his finished basement. Water coming into a finished basement such as this one could potentially lead to moldy walls or flooring, and even a musty smell in the air. After inspecting the basement, our specialist Lukas came up with a solution for this homeowner to help keep the water out.

The homeowner agreed and our crew got to work in mid December. They started by jackhammering part of the concrete slab to make room for our interior perimeter drainage system known as the WaterGuard System. It got installed around the entire perimeter of the basement to combat the leaky walls, and all the concrete was restored afterwards. This system uses its built-in wall flange to catch the water and then drains it directly into the system itself. That water will then get transported to the TripleSafe Sump Pump System we installed. This sump pump system can discharge thousands of gallons of water thanks to its two cast-iron horsepower pumps and battery backup system. We also put our IceGuard on the discharge line to prevent floods during the winter due to a frozen or clogged line. Once our team was done, this homeowner was left with a reliable waterproofing system in place to protect his finished basement.
