Basement Waterproofing & Crawl Space Repair in Saugerties, NY

There was a homeowner in Saugerties, NY that contacted us after being referred to our company by another person. He was dealing with some water in his basement and wanted our team’s expert opinion on how to deal with it. 

After getting him scheduled for a free estimate, our transformation specialist headed out to the home to inspect the basement. Our specialist determined that this homeowner needed a full waterproofing system to protect his basement from water intrusion. Water was coming through the concrete walls in this basement, and that needed to be addressed. The homeowner agreed to the proposed solution of covering the walls with a plastic waterproof vapor barrier, installing a sump pump, and interior drainage systems. 

Our crew got to work in late June and started by jackhammering away at the concrete slab to make room for the interior drainage systems known as WaterGuard and TrenchDrain. The WaterGuard System went around the entire perimeter of the basement, and the TrenchDrain System went on the inside of the doorway that leads to the outside. Together both systems will collect any incoming water and funnel it into the TripleSafe Sump Pump System we installed. The WaterGuard will gather it from the walls using its built-in wall flange, and the TrenchDrain catches any water that comes through the doorway via its grated lid. The TripleSafe Sump Pump System receives this water and transports it out and away from the foundation using its 1/3 horsepower cast-iron pump. The secondary 1/2 horsepower pump will take over if need be, and the battery backup system will keep the pump going in the event of a power outage or tripped circuit. On the discharge line for the sump pump we installed our IceGuard to prevent flooding due to a frozen or clogged discharge line. The walls got covered with our CleanSpace Wall System which blocks water vapor and moisture from passing through the foundation walls. It has built in anti-microbial protection, so it does support mold growth either. Now this homeowner can feel at ease knowing his basement is protected and equipped to handle water intrusion. 

A homeowner reached out to us because their crawl space was unstable. They wanted to know how we could help them solve this problem and prevent it from getting even worse.
