A homeowner living in a white house with several windows and a stone foundation was experiencing water issues inside her basement. Our specialist Stone went out to look at the basement, and upon his inspection he found clear signs of water intrusion. Water could be seen coming up through the concrete floor, as there was an area where the floor was wet or damp. Concrete floors are porous, and they can allow water to slowly infiltrate your basement due to their porous nature. To put an end to this, our specialist proposed a full basement waterproofing system to combat any water intrusion. Our crew installed our CleanSpace Wall System over the stone foundation walls to prevent water vapor from being able to pass through and get into the basement. It is pliable enough to cover uneven surfaces such as the stone walls in this homeowner’s basement and does not support mildew or mold growth either. To help collect and drain out any water that was entering the basement, we installed our WaterGuard System paired with our TripleSafe Sump Pump System. These state-of-the-art products work together to keep water out and away from your basement. The WaterGuard System is an interior perimeter drain that collects any water leaking through your walls using its built-in wall flange and then it directs that water straight into the TripleSafe Sump Pump System. This patented sump pump system has three lines of defense to protect your basement from major floods. It even features our IceGuard on the discharge line to prevent floods in the event the line clogs or freezes during the winter. Once all the products were installed and the job was completed, the homeowner no longer had to worry about a wet basement. Our team turned it into a dry and healthy environment!

The team worked hard, jackhammering away at a thick slab of concrete in the corner of the basement to make room for the TripleSafe Sump Pump.

To prepare for the IceGuard discharge line, a crew member carefully dug out the grass in small sections so we could run the line outside & away from the home and then placed the grass back where we found it.

The TripleSafe Sump Pump is a state-of-the-art product because it comes with three levels of protection against flooding. It has two horsepower cast-iron sump pumps and a battery-backup system. If the primary pump fails, the more powerful, secondary pump will turn on. If the secondary pump fails, that’s when the most powerful battery-backup system will come into play. All three pumps are capable of discharging thousands of gallons of water.

The IceGuard ensures that water will still be pumped out of your home even if the main discharge line gets clogged or freezes during the winter. It gives water another route to leave the basement instead of backing up into the basement, preventing what would be a major flood and nightmare.
