Basement Waterproofing & Crawl Space Repair in Marlboro, NY

A homeowner located in Marlboro, NY contacted us because he was having major issues with flooding inside his space that doubled as a basement and garage. Our appointment center representative got him on the schedule with our specialist Chris. After Chris conducted an inspection, a solution was proposed to the homeowner. The homeowner decided to hire us and our crew started the project in early October.  

The crew started this single day job by jackhammering the concrete slab to make room for the interior drainage systems and the sump pump system that was to be installed. All around the perimeter of the basement we placed the WaterGuard System just below the concrete slab, along the very bottom edge of the basement’s walls. This interior drain collects water from the leaking walls via its built-in wall flange. On the inside of the garage door, we placed our TrenchDrain System to collect any water coming through this entryway leading into the basement. Its grated opening allows for water to flow into it and then directly into the WaterGuard System, where it is then transported over to the sump pump. The sump pump consists of a TripleSafe Sump Pump liner with a 1/3 horsepower cast-iron Zoeller pump capable of discharging 2,220 gallons of water per hour at an 8-foot head. On the outside of the discharge line for the sump pump, we placed two of our IceGuards to prevent floods due to a frozen or clogged discharge line in the wintertime. The slotted openings allow for the water to continue to escape and not overwhelm the pump itself. When all the work was completed, the homeowner was thrilled and left us with a five-star review about his waterproofing project and the great job our team members did. Now he no longer has to worry about flooding wreaking havoc on his basement again! 

A homeowner wanted to upgrade and replace their existing sump pump, so they gave our company a call. We booked the homeowner on our schedule for a free estimate with one of our specialists in March. We then sent our specialist Lukas out to the home to see what kind of sump pump system would be best for this homeowner. Lukas determined that in order to achieve the maximum protection against floods in this basement, this homeowner was going to need a TripleSafe Sump Pump System installed. The homeowner agreed to the proposed solution and our team member Jake headed out in late March to install the sump pump system. Jake made sure to carefully remove the existing sump pump and created space for the new one to go in its place. 

The TripleSafe Sump Pump System is equipped with two cast-iron Zoller horsepower pumps that are capable of discharging thousands of gallons of water. The 1/3 horsepower pump can discharge up to 2,220 gallons while the 1/2 horsepower pump can discharge an additional 3,900 gallons of water. The homeowner also opted to get the battery backup system which ensures that the system will run smoothly in the event of a power outage or tripped circuit. Set at the highest level, this battery backup system can pump out 11,500 gallons of water or more on a fully charged battery. On the discharge line an IceGuard was placed to ensure that the sump pump system keeps running even if the discharge line gets frozen or clogged during the winter. Once the job was done, the homeowner felt assured that their basement would be protected from any floods, big or small!
