Before Waterproofing
Here is what the space looked like before any waterproofing took place. Concrete is porous, so sometimes water makes its way through and into the basement where it does not belong.
Basement Walls Sealed
We used CleanSpace on the walls to prevent moisture and water vapor from passing through. This durable plastic barrier is completely waterproof and does not support mold growth.
WaterGuard Catches the Water
At the base of these basement walls, just a tad below the concrete floor, is our interior drainage system known as WaterGuard. WaterGuard can collect the water from the walls thanks to its built-in wall flange and large drainage openings. When all the jackhammering to install it is done, the concrete floor is completely restored.
TrenchDrain on the Inside of the Doorway
On the inside of the garage door, we placed our TrenchDrain System just along the very edge. Its grated opening allows it to receive the water that is flowing into the garage from the outside, where it will then get funneled into the WaterGuard System. It gets installed on the inside to prevent it from freezing over during the winter.
Sump Pump to Discharge Incoming Water
We installed our TripleSafe Sump Pump liner into the concrete slab which features a 1/3 horsepower pump that can discharge up to 2,220 gallons of water. It receives the water from the interior drainage system and pumps it out and away from your home's foundation.
