The old stone walls had clear signs of damage, as peeling and chipping were clearly visible. The floor needed to be cleaned up as well. Overall, the space was run down and looked deteriorated. A crawlspace located in Highland Mills, NY looked like a total disaster. There were cobwebs and dirt everywhere. The old insulation was peeling off the walls and the ceiling. Nothing about this crawlspace looked or felt safe, and that’s why this homeowner gave us a call. Our crew knew that our CleanSpace Encapsulation System and Foamax Wall Insulation Panels would be the answer to this homeowner’s problems.
The Foamax Wall Panels went all along the perimeter of the crawlspace and the CleanSpace Encapsulation System covered the entirety of the floor.
Unlike typical forms of insulation made from fiberglass, Foamax is waterproof and does not support mold or mildew growth. Foamax is made of polyisocyanurate foam and features a foil vapor barrier on its backside, which reduces condensation and protects against moisture.
The CleanSpace Encapsulation is the perfect waterproofing solution that also provides protection against mold growth and pest infestations. It is a 20-mil reinforced polymer liner with a drainage mat installed underneath, which forms a permanent seal for leaking crawl space floors. This vapor barrier system will ensure that the water stays out and the humidity is under control.
Once our team was done, this homeowner had a safer and dryer crawlspace!

Our team had the honor of helping this family in New Windsor with a damaged basement from years of flooding. Their goal was to create a safe and dry space for their daughters to play in and enjoy.
To start, we had to remove the lower 32" of damaged sheet rock and other organic material that over time are going to grow mold and mildew; not the best environment for children. We then used our patented Everlast Wall Panels and PVC trim which is specifically designed for high humidity areas. They are highly mold resistant, unlike standard gypsum or sheetrock boards that other contractors would use.
After just 3 days, we were able to achieve the customers goal and give them a space that they thought would take months to accomplish. Thank you to these homeowners for allowing us to be a part of it!!!
A homeowner in Newburgh, New York reached out to us with concerns about their crawl space, it seemed to flood every time it rained which was creating a nasty, moldy, unusable space under their home. The homeowner was gave us a call and discussed their concerns with our Appointment Center who then scheduled them for an inspection with one of our highly trained specialists. On the day of the inspection, our specialist showed up, met with the homeowner, and performed a thorough inspection of the crawl space. The results of the inspection was that they water intrusion issues in their crawl space due to living in an area with a high water, after understand the cause of the flooding our specialist created a complete solution to solve their crawl space issues. The solution our specialist proposed was to have their crawl space encapsulated using our CleanSpace vapor barrier system, sump pump system, and our SaniDry dehumidifier system. The way this works is by a layer of drainage matting being placed over the dirt floor to control and direct the flow of any water that tries to enter the crawl space. To prevent any water or moisture from entering the crawl space we installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier system over the drainage matting to create a clean, dry, bright, usable space. To ensure this crawl space no longer floods we installed our sump pump system, which will collect any water that flows under the drainage matting and discharges it out and away from the home. The last recommended system was our SaniDry dehumidifier, which is designed to remove any moisture, mold, or small mildew particles from the air ensuring a healthy, safe environment. After reviewing the proposed solution with the homeowner they gave us the green light to encapsulate their crawl space. On the day of the installation, our production team led by a highly trained Foreman came in and installed the proposed plan our specialist created for this crawl space. The end result was a crawl space that was clean, dry, and usable and a homeowner who no longer had concerns about their crawl space.
At The Basement Transformer, we recently partnered with a homeowner in Arden, NY, tackling an all-too-common issue that countless folks encounter - water seeping into the basement with every rainfall. This was not just a puddle or two; we're talking about significant water intrusion that turned what could be a valuable living space into a no-go zone whenever the weather turned foul. Our approach began with a chat with our Appointment Center team, leading to an in-depth inspection by a Transformation Specialist from our Sales Team. It was quickly evident that this wasn't a problem that could be patched up with a quick fix.
The solution called for a comprehensive waterproofing system to give our client a permanently dry basement, regardless of the downpour. Here’s how we did it: First in line was the installation of WaterGuard along the basement's perimeter. It's not just any drainage system; it's designed to smartly capture wall and floor seepage before it even reaches the living space. Next, knowing the heart of any waterproof system is its sump pump, we installed the TripleSafe Sump Pump - a reliable powerhouse that kicks into action at the slightest hint of water. Facing the winter season head-on, the IceGuard system was added to ensure that even if the discharge lines freeze, the basement stays dry.
Completing the job saw our skilled team not only delivering a cutting-edge waterproofing system but also leaving the basement in spotless condition, ready for whatever plans the homeowner had in store. The aftermath? A homeowner brimming with relief and a basement that stands rain or shine - a true transformation that’s set to reinstate their peace of mind and elevate their home.
We were thrilled when this homeowner found us at our local Orange County home show. Our appointment center promptly scheduled our production crew to get to work and help this homeowner with their problem.
The porous, concrete walls in the basement were allowing water to seep through and come onto the floor. This caused damage to the surrounding concrete walls and the cement flooring. Efflorescence, a white chalky substance, started forming on the walls as well, showing signs of a moisture issue.
Our solution? Installing our trustworthy products to take care of the problem at hand. A WaterGuard drainage system was put all around the perimeter of the basement floor to ensure that water would be blocked before ever getting into the basement itself. This is also thanks to the Triple Safe Sump Pump we installed, which makes sure that the water leaves the house as it enters the WaterGuard.
IceGuards were also installed in case the pipes ever freeze when the temperature drops drastically, helping the homeowner feel at ease knowing the system we installed will still work in the cold winter months here in NY.
To combat any possible moisture issues in the future, we also installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to keep the basement dry and damp free!
Now this homeowner’s basement is safe and usable again.
In Middletown, NY there was a homeowner very much in need of our services. The concrete walls in this basement were allowing water to seep through because of their porous nature. Efflorescence was forming all over the walls and damaging the structural integrity of them. There were visible issues and damage all over the basement.
A complete basement finishing job was proposed to make this basement look brand new and transform it into a completely useable and livable space.
We gave this basement an insulated EverLast perimeter wall system, a brand new UltraSump battery backup system, and tiled ThermalDry flooring. EverLast basement windows were also included to replace the old windows, as well as an Egress window. Before long, this basement was good as new and safe to use!
Our crew had to start from scratch to restore this homeowner’s basement, which involved ripping out what was already there previously. The old walls and floors had visible signs of severe water damage, and they were in bad shape. We used all our most trustworthy products to completely waterproof this basement and make it safe again for the homeowner.
We started by installing a couple of new drainage systems from our various product lines. Beginning with our WaterGuard system, we installed this below the flooring and on top of the foundation footing so it wouldn’t become clogged with dirt and rock particles. The concrete floor is then restored after this step is complete. Next, we installed our TrenchDrain paired with our TrenchLock inserts. The TrenchDrain is designed to prevent water from entering the basement via an outer entryway point, like a garage door. Water is redirected to your perimeter drain and sump pump, so it never enters the basement and damages the surrounding floor.
A TripleSafe sump pump was also installed, which features 2 main pumps, and 1 battery powered back up pump. A WaterWatch alarm system even comes with it to alert the homeowner in the event water rises above the maximum level before the pumps turn on. The IceGuard was also installed alongside these products to prevent any flooding due to a clogged line during times when the temperature drops significantly.
Finally, a LawnScape outlet was provided to ensure that water would be directed onto the ground above and away from the home. This also ensured that the homeowner’s gutters would drain properly and that no excess water could get into the foundation.
A homeowner in Warwick, NY contacted us for help because they saw some water pooling in one corner of their semi-finished basement. They also informed us that they were experiencing leaks during heavy rainstorms.
As part of the solution to help stop the water from coming into the basement, we needed to install a TripleSafe Sump Pump System. This is one of our top performing sump pump systems because it features three levels of protection against flooding. It contains two cast iron Zoeller horse powered pumps, and a battery powered back up pump that turns on in the event the power goes out. The main pump is capable of discharging 2,220 gallons of water per hour, and the secondary pump can discharge up to 3,900 gallons of water per hour. When fully charged, the battery powered back up pump will pump out 11,500 gallons of water!
Not only does this sump pump push out thousands of gallons of water, but it also features an airtight lid that keeps debris from getting inside and interfering with the sump pump.
We helped this homeowner avoid the possibility of any flooding in the future and put their mind at ease by installing our TripleSafe Sump Pump System.

A homeowner in Greenwood Lake, NY wanted to be in a peaceful state of mind knowing that their sump pump system would never fail and would continue to work despite any harsh weather conditions that could arise.
To make sure their TripleSafe Sump Pump System ran smoothly during the wintertime, we installed our IceGuard Discharge Line System along with it.
In the event your line freezes, causing water to back up into your sump pump, the IceGuard will give the water a secondary route to escape. With its unique design, it fits over the top of the discharge line for the sump pump and allows water to leave through the slotted holes in the drainpipe. All the water will be directed away from the home, avoiding any horrible floods. After this was installed, this homeowner knew their crawl space would remain dry no matter what kind of weather they were having!

Our TripleSafe Sump Pump comes with two powerful, Zoeller cast iron sump pumps and a battery powered back-up pump capable of discharging thousands of gallons of water from your basement. This system provides three layers of protection and ensures your sump pump is working, whether it’s raining or shining!
The IceGuard Discharge Line System is another line of defense against floods. In the event the underground discharge line for your sump pump freezes, the IceGuard allows water to escape through a secondary route via the slotted openings. With this product in place, this homeowner will not have to worry about water backing up into their basement during the colder months.

This homeowner in Pine Island, NY had a unique foundation known as a monolithic foundation, which required a special waterproofing solution.
A monolithic foundation is when the walls sit on top of the floor, thus making the edges of the floor extremely thick. To avoid having to do labor intensive jack hammering on this thick flooring, our crew installed our DryTrak Drain Pipe System to help this person address their leaky basement issues. This drainpipe is epoxied directly to the floor, with a slight opening at the top to collect any water leaking in through the walls.
Tucked into the DryTrak Drain Pipe System, was our CleanSpace Wall System, another waterproofing product that The Basement Transformer offers. This 100% waterproof plastic barrier has anti-microbial protection called UltraFresh that is built right into it. It prevents humidity from finding its way through your basement walls and into your home. It also helped to clean up the overall appearance of this basement and made the entire room brighter!
When our team was finished, this homeowner no longer had to worry about a leaky basement thanks to the tailored solution we provided.
A basement located in Washingtonville, NY was having some structural problems. The floor above the basement was sagging because the old supports that were holding it up were damaged and compromised. The wooden beams running across the top were cracking and separating as well.
Our team replaced this outdated system with our SmartJacks, which are made of galvanized, corrosion-resistant steel and support loads up to 60,000 pounds and above.
We had to install the SmartJacks in sections and build temporary walls out of wood to support the floor above as the old supports were being replaced.
The best part about our SmartJacks is that they can be adjusted again at any time in the event the floor settles or shifts.
They will never rot either, like many wooden beams often do in a basement environment.
This homeowner could relax once we completed the job knowing their basement ceiling was no longer in danger of collapsing.
This homeowner called us to help them waterproof their crawlspace and prevent water from being where it does not belong. We installed a sump pump that is specially designed to fit inside crawlspaces such as the one this homeowner had. This sump pump is known as the SmartSump Crawl Space Sump Pump System.
It provides protection against leaks and floods. It even features a 1/3 horsepower cast-iron Zoller pump with the ability to discharge up to 2,500 gallons of water out of your crawlspace. As an extra layer of protection against floods, we also installed our IceGuard Discharge Line System. This special device fits over the top of the discharge line and provides the water with a secondary escape route in the event your main line gets clogged or freezes during the winter. So even when those cold temperatures come about, you don’t have to worry about your sump pump system not working. It will continue to safely discharge the water even if your line does freeze.
We installed this by jackhammering a hole in the concrete floor big enough for the sump liner, and running the discharge line outside of the house with the IceGuard attached. We made sure to re-pour the concrete we removed once everything was in place.
Now this homeowner could experience peace knowing they did not have to worry about water entering their crawlspace or a flood occurring in the winter.
A homeowner in Sparrow, Bush NY was experiencing a leaky and wet basement. The primary one is capable of discharging 2,200 gallons of water while the secondary pump discharges up to 3,900 additional gallons. If your circuit trips or your pump fails, the UltraSump battery backup sump pump will kick it into high gear and save the day. This small, but impressive device can discharge up to 11,500 gallons or more on a full battery. This means the sump pump system will continue to work even under the worst of circumstances. Once our crew was done with the installation, the homeowner was happy and relieved knowing that they had a trustworthy & reliable sump pump in their basement.

· We gave a basement in Port Jervis, NY a total waterproofing job from start to finish.
Our crew came up with a game plan to install our WaterGuard drainage system and our TripleSafe Sump Pump System to prevent water from finding its way into this homeowner’s basement. Our WaterGuard drainage system is installed above what is known as the “mud zone” to prevent any clogging from occurring due to dirt or debris. The built in wall flange helps to collect any water seeping through the walls and then directs it into the drainage system itself. The WaterGuard works alongside the TripleSafe Sump Pump System by funneling the water directly into it, so it can then be discharged outside and away from the home. The TripleSafe Sump Pump System also features three lines of defense against flooding. It is equipped with two cast iron Zoeller horsepower pumps that are capable of discharging thousands of gallons of water. In the event both pumps fail, or you have a power outage, the UltraSump battery backup sump pump system will take over and ensure everything keeps running smoothly. This backup system can get rid of up to 11,500 gallons or more on a fully charged battery. With both products installed, the homeowner no longer had to worry about the possibility of their basement flooding.
Water was coming in through the floors and the walls in this basement. The floor was damp in several spots and this basement desperately needed our help. Ultimately this homeowner chose The Basement Transformer to fix their home because they trusted our team, liked our process, and because we said we could complete the job in a timely manner. They first found out about us through one of our mailers and gave our appointment center a call when they were ready to do something about the water inside their basement. Our transformation specialist determined that our WaterGuard Drainage System would allow the water to be collected and redirected out of the home. This special drainage system is designed to be installed below the floor slab, on top of the foundation footing, and away from the “mud zone” to prevent clogging from dirt or debris. It was developed over the course of more than two decades of research and has a lifetime transferable written warranty. WaterGuard is easy and fast to install, which gives the homeowner peace of mind knowing that the job will be finished in a short amount of time. The WaterGuard is special because it has a built-in wall flange that collects any water that seeps through the walls and keeps it from spilling onto the floor. It also directs that water directly into your sump pump system, getting it out of the basement for good. Minimal invasion of the concrete floor was required, and our team restored it once the WaterGuard was in place, making it hardly noticeable. Once our team finished installing this complete drainage system, water invasion became a thing of the past.
A homeowner in Chester, NY wanted their basement to be protected from flooding so they contacted The Basement Transformer to find out how we could help.
Our transformation specialist proposed that we install our TripleSafe Sump Pump System and IceGuard Discharge Line System, and the homeowner was on board.
Our crew got started by jackhammering a hole big enough to fit the sump liner inside this person’s basement. They also drilled holes large enough to run the discharge line outside to the exterior of the home.
The Triple Safe Sump Pump System features three modes of protection against flooding, which is exactly why the homeowner went with this option. It features two cast-iron Zoeller horsepower sump pumps that are designed to discharge thousands of gallons of water. A battery backup sump pump system known as the UltraSump was also attached, which helps the sump pump to continue working even under the harshest conditions. On a fully charged battery it can pump up to 11,500 or more gallons of water.
The IceGuard Discharge Line System allows the sump pump to still discharge water in the event the line freezes during the wintertime or somehow becomes clogged. The special slotted openings in the drain pipe give the water another route to escape, allowing water to leave the home and not back up your sump pump.
When the job was completed, this homeowner knew their basement was protected against flooding thanks to our products.
The air inside a homeowner’s crawl space in Sterling Forest, NY was extremely humid and damp before our repairs began. After completing a waterproofing job for them, we also installed our SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier inside the crawl space to keep the air dry, even if it got very damp at times. Air would still filter into this crawl space through the tiniest of spaces even though we sealed it off from the earth, so that is why the homeowner opted to include this dehumidifier in their project. The SaniDry Seodna Dehumidifer is a high capacity, extremely efficient dehumidification system with air filtration - all wrapped up into one unit. It can take out 100 pints of water from the air inside your crawl space and uses the same energy as a 40-pint dehumidifier. The SaniDry can also filter out incredibly small particles circulating in your air less than 2 microns in size, particles that are even smaller than dust mite droppings and mold spores. Thanks to our dehumidifier, this homeowner now had dry air moving in and around their crawl space and damp air was a thing of the past.
A homeowner located in Middletown, NY contacted us because they had concerns about the structural integrity of their basement. They were worried that their temporary columns were no longer good enough to support the basement, so our specialist headed over to look at what was going on. It was determined during by our specialist that this homeowner needed our SmartJack System to help stabilize the basement again. There were clear signs of a structural issue, as cracks could be seen forming on the wall. The SmartJack system offers a permanent solution and can be adjusted at any point, should the walls or floors shift due to settling over time. They can support loads of 60,000 pounds or more and are constructed from galvanized steel, which means they are resistant to corrosion and will not rot like wooden beams. The above floor and walls can now be lifted back toward a level position as well.
To keep the air dry and the humidity under control, the homeowner also opted to install a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier in their basement. This super-efficient dehumidifier is capable of removing 100 pints of water from the air and filters out the particles tinier than mold spores.
With both products in place, the homeowner knew their basement was safe, stable, and dry!
This homeowner in Walden, NY contacted our team at The Basement Transformer because they were having issues with water intrusion in their basement.
The bottom part of their walls had been damaged from water, and they needed a way to keep the water out permanently so that no more damage would occur. We replaced the bottom portion of the walls with our EverLast Finished Wall Restoration System. This wall system is made from inorganic materials and metal studs, so unlike drywall it cannot be damaged by flooding and will hold up in a basement environment.
We also installed our DryTrak System and TripleSafe Sump Pump System to collect the water coming in and direct it out and away from the home.
This homeowner had a monolithic foundation, so DryTrak was necessary to avoid labor intensive jackhammering of a thick floor and large amounts of dust. This drainpipe is epoxied right on top of the floor and against the wall, featuring a slight opening at the top so it can collect any water leaking through the walls.
The TripleSafe Sump Pump System provides the ultimate protection against flooding, which is why we also installed it for this homeowner. It features two cast-iron Zoller horsepower sump pumps capable of discharging thousands of gallons of water. If either of those fail or if a power outage occurs, the UltraSump battery backup system that we attached will take over and keep the sump pump running as planned. On a fully charged battery, it can discharge up to 11,500 gallons of water or more and helps to prevent your system from getting backed up and flooding your basement.
Finally, we finished the job by installing our SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier to keep the basement air dry. It can remove up to 100 pints of water from the air per day and can be drained directly into the sump pump system.
Once this job was done, the homeowner could experience peace of mind knowing they had a great basement waterproofing system in place.
A homeowner in Middletown, NY was dealing with water intrusion and humidity issues in their basement. The paint on their concrete walls had fallen apart and chipped away in large sections, so it was clear that water was seeping through them. The homeowner decided to give our team at The Basement Transformer a call to see how we could help.
Our transformation specialist determined that the homeowner needed three key products to help solve the problems they were experiencing. Our production crew installed our WaterGuard Drainage System, TripleSafe Sump Pump System, and our SaniDry Sedona Dehumidier.
Installing the WaterGuard Drainage System and the pipes that connected to it required a lot of strategic jackhammering. The WaterGuard drainage system was installed against the concrete block wall to collect any water that comes through and then helps to direct that water into your sump pump system. The pipes connected to the WaterGuard along the perimeter and ran across different areas of the floor and helped the water funnel into the sump pump system as well.
The TripleSafe Sump Pump is a state-of-the-art system that features two cast-iron Zoeller horsepower pumps capable of discharging thousands of gallons of water from your basement. If either of the pumps fail or the power goes out, the UltraSump battery backup system we connected will take over and allows the pump to keep running as planned. On a fully charged battery, it can discharge up to 11,500 gallons of water or more!
Finally, the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was installed to remove the moisture from the air and help it stay dry. This highly efficient dehumidier also includes an air filtration system, which can filter out particles smaller than two microns in size. It can remove 100 pints of water from your air and pushes dry air into and around your basement. We also made sure to connect the dehumidifier directly to the TripleSafe Sump Pump, eliminating the need for the homeowner to empty any buckets of water.
Once the job was done, this homeowner knew their basement had a functional waterproofing system and dry air in their basement!
A homeowner located in Cornwall, NY called us after their basement flooded twice after the ice from the winter had melted on their property. The maximum amount of water they experienced in their basement was about 2-3 inches in total. They wanted to make sure this situation did not happen again and that any water finding its way into their basement would have a proper escape route.
There was also mold found in the basement behind their washing machine and the water damage from the floods had cost them tons of money. They wanted to address the quality of the air inside the basement as well.
Our specialist proposed installing our trustworthy TripleSafe Sump Pump System and SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to take care of the problem.
The TripleSafe Sump Pump system provides the ultimate protection against floods because it is equipped with three lines of defense against water intrusion. It features two horsepower cast-iron Zoeller pumps capable of discharging thousands of gallons of water. If either pump fails or if there is a power outage, the UltraSump Battery Backup System we attached will take over and keep the system running as planned. On a fully charged battery, this device can remove up to 11,500 gallons of water or more!
The SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier is a highly efficient dehumidification system with air filtration built right in. It can take up to 100 pints of water out of your air per day while filtering out the tiniest particles, ones even smaller than any mold spore or dust mite dropping. It dries your air and moves that dry air all throughout your space. If you have dry air in your basement that then dries the items inside your basement, mold cannot grow or survive on them!
Once both products were installed this homeowner knew their basement was protected against floods and humidity.
A homeowner in New Windsor, NY had a crawl space with a sagging floor above it. This issue prevented certain doors in the upstairs portion of the house from closing properly. They contacted our team at The Basement Transformer to see how we could help. After the inspection was complete, our specialist proposed installing our SmartJack Crawl Space Support System to solve this problem.
This system is designed to restore the stability and straightness to the sagging floor joists within the crawl space. Unlike wooden posts, these will never rot because they are made from galvanized steel. They can even support loads up to 60,000 pounds or more! Our SmartJack system is a permanent solution for foundation problems that is installed by attaching a steel support beam to your floor joists with a solid base on the floor. As an added benefit, once all the SmartJacks are in place, they can be adjusted at any time should your home require it. Our crew installed four of our SmartJacks along with two SmartBeams, and once the job was done the doors upstairs closed properly! The homeowner’s mother was absolutely thrilled that her closet and the front door were functional again.

A homeowner located in Port Jervis, NY had a basement in need of a full waterproofing system. The homeowner ultimately chose our company to help them because our specialist took the time to really listen to all the concerns the homeowner had. Our specialist came up with a comprehensive solution and included the homeowner throughout every step of the process.
To address the moisture issues and the water vapor coming through the walls, our crew installed our CleanSpace Wall System. This is a 100% waterproof plastic vapor barrier that is perfect for covering unfinished walls with uneven textures, such as the ones found inside this basement in Port Jervis. It even has built in anti-microbial protection known as UltraFresh built right into it, which means mold and mildew cannot grow on it. Any water seeping through the walls would be blocked from going into the basement because of the CleanSpace and instead would get directed into the WaterGuard drainage system that we installed.
This patented drainage system sits on top of the foundation footing and out of the “mud zone” so it does not become clogged with dirt or debris. The wall flange that extends up the wall at 3/8” helps the system to collect any water leaking through the walls and directs it into the TripleSafe Sump Pump System that we installed as well.
To provide the ultimate protection from flooding, this system was chosen. This sump pump system is very powerful, and capable of discharging thousands of gallons of water out of your home because of its cast-iron Zoeller horsepower pumps. We even added the UltraSump Battery Backup System as well as our IceGuard Discharge line to help ensure the system runs smoothly under the worst conditions. The UltraSump Battery Backup System will turn on if you ever have a power outage or experience pump failure. On a fully charged battery it can discharge up to 11,500 gallons of water or more!
The IceGuard discharge line allows water to escape even if your discharge line was to freeze during the winter or experienced any clogs.
Finally, to keep the air dry and humidity low, we installed our highly efficient, SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier. This dehumidifier can take up to 100 pints of water out of your air a day and blows that dried air all throughout your basement.
When everything was installed, the homeowner knew they had a healthy and dry basement!
