What Does a Sump Pump Look Like and How Does it Work?

Our sump pump systems are unlike any other available on the market; we only aim to offer you the best. There’s more to a sump pump than there appears on the surface. You might be wondering how exactly one works or what it looks like on the inside.

The sump liner is the part you can see on the surface, the part that is level with your floor. Our sump liners feature small holes to accept any water that comes in through the gravel around the pit. The larger holes allow our perimeter drain products to direct water into the sump liners and out of your house. This patented design helps prevent any clogging or water escaping, which often causes major flooding.

Every sump pump system we offer has an airtight sump lid as well. With this design, it prevents debris from falling in and water vapor from evaporating into your basement. It also helps to cancel out some of the noise from the sumps when they are running, making your basement nice and quiet.

Each pump inside the liner has its very own pump stand. The CleanPump stand helps to elevate the pump inside and allows for a small amount of sediment or mud to settle on the bottom and not interfere with the pump itself.

A floor drain is also located on the very top of the airtight lid. If a leak or flood occurs in your basement, this floor drain will come to the rescue. The unique design allows water to go down and prevents air from coming up and into your basement.

Our sump pump systems also include a WaterWatch alarm, this ensures that in the rare event of all 3 of the pumps failing, that you will get alerted by a loud beeping sound before it overflows! Proper maintenance of our systems is done annually, to prevent pump failure, but it can happen.

The star of the show is our Zoeller horsepower pumps. They are long-lasting, trustworthy, and can discharge thousands of gallons of water per hour.

If you’re having water issues in your basement, our sump pumps can help! We offer a range of sump pump systems options, so contact us today to find out which one is the best fit for your home.
