The Basement Transformer Lends a Helping Hand
The Basement Transformer was contacted by someone who had a close friend in need of our company’s help.
The woman’s husband had passed away about a year prior and usually kept the house in top shape before he got ill. After he passed away, the house was in serious despair and completely fell apart.
David, our owner, was asked to come out to the house to assess the situation.
When he arrived at the home, David noticed that the crawl space was not being supported properly and proposed adding our SmartJack support system to several areas. He also suggested sealing off the dirt floor with our CleanSpace, paired with our drainage matting, to keep the moisture and musty air out. David also saw that the homeowner’s existing sump pump was not working and wanted to replace it with our SuperSump.
Before all the work was completed, David learned that the homeowner’s husband had passed away and wanted to help her get through this extremely challenging time. Out of the kindness of his heart, David decided to donate $26,907 worth of materials as well as the labor required to complete this project to the homeowner, free of charge.
Our crew started working on the home, piece by piece. The homeowner and her friend were ecstatic about the job our production team did, and they were especially pleased with our foreman, Danielle. Danielle made sure the entire production crew was organized, energized, and focused. Her careful attention to detail and genuine caring made the homeowner feel at ease, and Danielle made sure to provide updates at every stage of the project.
David’s kind gesture & our production crew’s incredible work ethic left a lasting impact on the homeowner and her friend. They were completely touched and moved by what was done. The homeowner hired us to help fix her home, but in the process found a contractor willing to go above and beyond for the people that contact us in a time of need.
She was thrilled with how everything turned out and we had graciously earned her trust and recommendation.
