Waterproofing Walls in Progress
Here you can see that our foreman and his team started to waterproof the walls using our CleanSpace Wall System. This vapor barrier is designed to keep water and humidity from seeping through the foundation walls and into the basement. It also does not support mold growth thanks to its built in anti-microbial protection.
New Flooring and Reliable Support
The wooden beam in the previous photo has been replaced with our SmartJack. This support beam is made with galvanized steel, so unlike wood it will not rot or fall apart due to damage from moisture. The concrete floor has been covered with our ThermalDry Elite Plank Flooring in the color pecan. Unlike traditional wooden flooring, these panels will not rot, buckle, swell or support mold growth. Our flooring gives the same beautiful appearance as a wooden floor, minus the hassle and headache.
Waterproofing the Perimeter of the Basement
Around the perimeter of the basement, we placed our WaterGuard System just below the concrete slab and on top of the foundation footing. In areas where WaterGuard could not go due to appliances against the walls, we used our TrenchDrain System. Together these interior drainage systems will collect any incoming water and funnel them directly into the sump pump system we installed.
Protected from Humidity and Floods
Thanks to our TripleSafe Sump Pump System this homeowner's basement is protected from floods - small or big! It features two cast-iron Zoller horsepower pumps capable of discharging thousands of gallons of water. The battery backup system will allow it to keep running if there's a power outage or a tripped circuit. The SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier keeps the humidity under control by removing up to 100 pints of water from the air per day. It is also set up to drain directly into the sump pump.
Basement Waterproofed and Transformed
The CleanSpace Wall System gives the space a bright and clean appearance, while the flooring makes the whole area look finished and complete. Now it's a space protected from water intrusion that can be used safely for storage.
