Photo Album: Waterproofing a Crawl Space in Eldred, NY
The crawl space pictured below was in a very poor state. The perimeter showed clear signs of water damage along the walls, water was pooling onto the floor, and the insulation was falling apart. To fix this, our crew started by jackhammering the old concrete away so we could carve a path for our WaterGuard drainage system to be installed all along the outer edge of the crawl space. This system is designed to sit below the floor slab, while resting on the footing of the foundation. It collects all the water that seeps through the walls and into the crawl space, draining it into your sump pump system. The concrete was restored one the WaterGuard was in place. To provide even more protection against water intrusion, we installed our CleanSpace Encapsulation System over it. This vapor barrier helps to get rid of any moisture issues and keeps the air in your crawl space safe and dry!

Water Pooling onto the Floor
Water was leaking into this crawl space and pooling onto the floor.
The Insulation was Falling Apart
Signs of water damage were even visible in the insulation.
WaterGuard Being Installed
The concrete has been removed so we could install the WaterGuard to collect the water.
Close-Up of the WaterGuard
The WaterGuard is being installed slightly below the floor slab.
CleanSpace Encapsulation Along the Perimeter
The water vapor barrier has been installed on top of the WaterGuard to prevent moisture from seeping into the crawl space.
CleanSpace Encapsulation and WaterGuard Completely Installed
Now this crawl space will remain dry and protected from water intrusion.
