Crack in the Basement Wall
Upon inspection, our specialist documented this crack that was in the wall. Water had made its way through and left behind a white, chalky stain after it had evaporated off the concrete.
Getting Ready for the WaterGuard System
To install the WaterGuard System, the crew started out by jackhammering a portion of the concrete slab along the perimeter of the basement. It sits above the foundation footing, so it does not become clogged with dirt or debris.
CleanSpace Wall System and WaterGuard System in Place
Now the walls have been waterproofed thanks to our CleanSpace Wall System which is a plastic barrier and prevents water vapor from passing through. It gets installed behind the WaterGuard System to help direct any water leaking through the walls straight into the WaterGuard System itself. The WaterGuard System then takes the water it has collected and drains it into the sump pump we installed. Once the WaterGuard is in place, all concrete gets restored, and it becomes practically invisible.
Protection Against Floods and Humidity Control
We installed our TripleSafe Sump Pump System to provide the ultimate protection against flooding. It is equipped with two cast-iron Zoeller horsepower pumps and a battery backup system capable of discharging thousands of gallons of water from your home. Our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier can remove up to 100 pints of water from the basement air, eliminating that damp feeling and controlling the humidity. We also made sure to set up the dehumidifier to drain directly into the sump pump.
