Water Pooling Inside
Here you can see where the water pooled in one corner of the crawl space. Leaving water inside a crawl space is a recipe for disaster. The wood inside can absorb the moisture, which can cause it to fall apart or promote the growth of mold.
Cobwebs Are a Sign of Critters
The cobwebs like the ones found inside this crawl space are a sign that critters have entered the space. Encapsulating your crawl space makes it a lot harder for pests and wood-eating insects to enter.
Another Look at the Dirt Crawl Space
Here is the crawl space from another angle before we encapsulated it with our CleanSpace Encapsulation System.
Encapsulated and Stabilized Crawl Space
This crawl space has now been sealed off from the earth thanks to our CleanSpace Encapsulation System and the drainage matting that was placed underneath it. Our CleanSpace Encapsulation System is a 20-mil reinforced polymer liner that acts as a vapor barrier and stops it from coming up through the dirt and into your crawl space. Our SmartJack System is pictured here as well. In this case, we installed three supports in total, two of which are in this photo. These are made from galvanized steel that are resistant to corrosion. Once they are installed, they get adjusted to help raise your floors back to a level position. Saggy floors above are now a problem of the past!
A TripleSafe Sump Pump and Dehumidifer
Our TripleSafe Sump Pump System will protect this crawl space from flooding by taking any water that enters and discharging it out and away from the home. The SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier will keep humidity under control and wring the air inside the crawl space dry, making that damp and gross feeling go away!
