This homeowner had concerns about the water & moisture in their basement, so they contacted The Basement Transformer to see how we could help. One section of the basement made of concrete walls and flooring was an unsightly mess and in need of serious repairs. Concrete is porous, which means water can easily find its way through and into a basement. To combat this problem, we installed our CleanSpace Wall System and our CleanSpace Encapsulation System on the floor. 

Both are vapor barriers that are designed to prevent water from entering your home. The CleanSpace Wall System is 100% waterproof and contains anti-microbial protection, which ensures that mold will not form or grow. It is pliable and perfect for covering uneven walls or surfaces, such as the ones pictured below. The CleanSpace Encapsulation System is a durable 20 mil reinforced polymer liner which in addition to preventing moisture, keeps outside air and pests away from your basement. Once our team was done, this section of the basement was totally transformed and protected from water. 

This basement in Sparrow Bush, NY was having issues with water intrusion and humidity. In order to tackle these problems, our WaterGuard System, TripleSafe Sump Pump System, BrightWall panels, and SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier were installed. All these products work together to make sure that water stays out and away from the home. The BrightWall panels help channel the water directly into the WaterGuard System, which then drains the water into the TripleSafe Sump Pump System to be discharged. The SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier removes up to 100 pints of water from the air per day, leaving the air nice and dry!

This 20-mil reinforced polymer liner serves as a vapor barrier and prevents moisture from getting inside. It also does not support mold growth and is extremely durable, which means you can walk around on it without having to worry about rips or tears. To protect the crawl space from flooding and to transport any incoming water out and away from the home, we installed our TripleSafe Sump Pump System. Equipped with two cast-iron Zoeller horsepower pumps and a battery backup system, it can discharge thousands of gallons of water. Now this crawl space will stay dry and water free for years to come!

Upon inspection, our crew figured out that our CleanSpace Encapsulation System would stop the water vapor from coming up through the soil. This 20-mil reinforced polymer liner is designed to prevent moisture from seeping into your crawl space. This vapor barrier also creates a healthier and cleaner environment in your home overall, since mold and mildew growth cannot grow on CleanSpace. This material is also extremely flexible and durable, which means it allowed us to customize the fit inside of this dirt crawl space filled with irregular shaped rocks and uneven surfaces. We seal it around these types of obstructions and at the seams with special tapes and other sealants. CleanSpace is made to be strong and durable as well, meaning it’s resistant to wear and tear and stays in place. Once our crew was finished, this homeowner was left with a clean and dry crawl space that was protected from the elements.
