Major Cracks in the Wall
These large cracks indicate major issues happening with this foundation that need to be addressed.
Steel Push Piers Installed
First our crew removed the surrounding soil from the foundation footing. Then the steel bracket was placed under the footing, and the steel pier sections were hydraulically driven through the bracket to either bedrock or a level of stable soil. The weight of the home was then transferred from the concrete foundation to the soil or bedrock thanks to the steel brackets and piers.
Soil Gets Backfilled
After the stabilization was completed, the crew filled the area with soil again. The steel piers are completely hidden and doing their job.
CarbonArmor and WaterGuard Installed
The CarbonArmor System was installed to prevent the cracks in the walls from getting any worse. This system is 10 times stronger in tension than steel and is designed specifically for basement walls. The epoxy used to apply the carbon fiber straps penetrates the surface of the concrete wall, ensuring that these will not budge. The WaterGuard System is the perimeter drainage system that is in place to collect any water that seeps through the walls.
All Concrete Restored
Once all systems were installed, the concrete slab was completely restored. Now the foundation is stable and any water coming through will be dealt with by the WaterGuard System.
