Bowing Basement Walls
Water has clearly put pressure on these walls via the surrounding soils and caused them to slowly bow inwards over time. The water stains left behind on the concrete blocks are a clear sign of this.
PowerBraces Save the Day
To stop this wall from bowing any further, we installed our PowerBrace Foundation Wall Repair System. These steel I-beams are secured to the joists above the wall using steel brackets.
PowerBraces can be Adjusted
This system can be adjusted by tightening the brace in an attempt to raise the wall back into its orginial position, and unlike wooden supports these will not rot or grow mold.
Getting the Wall Ready for CarbonArmor
The two-part epoxy adhesive has been applied to the wall. It creates a super strong bond between the carbon fiber strap and concrete wall by penetrating the surface of the concrete wall itself.
CarbonArmor Wall Reinforcing System Installed
These flexible carbon fiber fabric straps are even stronger in tension than steel. They can also contour tightly to the basement walls, which ensures a strong adhesion between the strap and the wall itself.
