A homeowner wanted to protect their basement from flooding so they contacted us to see how we could help them. When the rain came, the basement was having water issues. To give their basement the ultimate form of protection during rainstorms, our specialist proposed installing our TripleSafe Sump Pump System. This patented system features two cast iron Zoeller horsepower pumps that can discharge thousands of gallons of water from your home. It also features an UltraSump Battery Backup System that keeps your system running smoothly even in the event of a power outage or pump failure. On a fully charged battery, this device can discharge up to 11,500 gallons of water or more from your home. Our production crew installed this sump pump system by running the discharge line partially underground inside the basement and leading to the outside of the house. This would ensure any water coming into the basement would be transported out and away from the foundation. Once this system was installed, the homeowner knew they had a reliable system in place to prevent floods from happening in their basement.
A homeowner in Newburgh, NY needed an interior drainage system installed in their basement. After inspecting the basement, our specialist proposed that we install our WaterGuard System. This system combats water intrusion by collecting the water that leaks through your basement walls using its built-in wall flange. This wall flange extends up your basement wall at 3/8” and helps direct the water into the WaterGuard System itself.
In the before photo, you can see the WaterGuard System laying in a bed of drainage stone, on top of the foundation footing. It gets installed this way to keep it out of the “mud zone”, so it does not become clogged with dirt or debris. It also features large drain openings and a unique shape, which also help prevent it from becoming clogged.
In the after photo, you can see that all of the concrete got restored. Minimal removal of your concrete slab is needed, which means that this system is installed rather quickly.
This patented system came from more than two decades worth of research and development and is our most widely used drainage system for homeowners and their basements. Give us a call today if you are experiencing water intrusion in your basement, and we will figure out how to help you and your home.
This homeowner in Highland, NY had a crawlspace with a dirt floor and moisture issues. The insulation was also falling apart, indicating that it was absorbing water.
Overall, it was not a great environment, and that is exactly why the homeowner contacted us to help them. Our crew knew that our CleanSpace Encapsulation System and SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier would offer the solutions this homeowner was looking for. The CleanSpace encapsulation liner is made of 20mil reinforced polymer that is resistant to wear and tears. It is designed to prevent water vapor from passing through and into your crawlspace. Mold growth and mildew growth are not supported by this liner either.
We also installed our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to purify the air and keep it dry within the crawlspace. It is extremely efficient and is capable of removing up to 100 pints of water in a single day. This dehumidifier also moves dry air out and around your crawlspace, so you don’t have to worry about damp air infiltrating the other areas of your home. It even filters particles out of the air that are smaller than any mold spore or dust mite dropping, ensuring your air is clean and safe to breathe in!
When our team was done, this homeowner experienced peace of mind knowing their crawlspace was safe and dry.
This homeowner’s old sump pump system was a complete disaster. It was allowing water to leak out everywhere, and pool onto the basement floor. That’s when The Basement Transformer answered the call to come and help. We gave this homeowner our state of the art, TripleSafe Sump Pump System. It is designed to discharge thousands of gallons of water out and away from a home, so that a wet basement is no longer a concern. This sump pump system features both a primary and secondary pump, along with an UltraSump battery-powered back up pump in case of failure or a power outage occurs.
The primary pump is a Zoeller 1/3 horsepower sump pump that can discharge up to 2,220 gallons of water, while the secondary pump can get rid of up to 3,900 additional gallons of water. When fully charged, the battery powered back up pump can pump out 11,500 gallons of water or more!
With our TripleSafe Sump Pump System installed, this homeowner became fully equipped with 3 levels of protection against flooding and achieved having a dry basement.
A homeowner in Ulster Park, NY needed us to help them prevent flooding from occurring in their basement. There was a doorway that led into their basement, and it was the perfect entryway for water to just waltz right in. To combat this issue, our production crew installed the TrenchDrain Grated Drain Pipe system. It is half a drainage pipe that features a grated opening right on top, which sits flush with the floor. It is meant for doorways such as the one found in this basement, and it works by collecting any water that passes over the drain and redirects it into your sump pump system. The lid is also removable, making it super convenient for removing any debris that may get inside and clog the system. Once our TrenchDain system was in place, this homeowner knew the possibility of their doorway allowing water to come into the basement would be eliminated.
