We made sure this crawl space in Cornwall, NY was sealed off from the earth and insulated using our trustworthy products. First, our drainage matting was placed over the dirt floor to further enhance the longevity and durability of the liner going on top. Next, we installed our Foamax insulated wall panels to make the crawl space warmer and to prevent cold air from passing through into the rest of the home. They even feature a foil vapor barrier on the back. Finally, to prevent water vapor from making its way inside, we used our super durable CleanSpace Encapsulation System to form a barrier over the area.

That’s when our crew at The Basement Transformer stepped in to make things right. To help get this house water free we had to install our TripleSafe Sump Pump System. There was water coming up through the middle and the perimeter of the porous concrete floor, but thanks to the TripleSafe that nightmare would end. This impressive and one-of-a-kind system is capable of discharging thousands of gallons of water thanks to its cast-iron Zoller horsepower sump pumps. The primary pump set at 1/3 horsepower can discharge up to 2,220 gallons of water, while the secondary pump set at 1/2 horsepower can discharge up to 3,900 additional gallons. Even if you experience a tripped circuit or a power outage, the UltraSump battery backup sump pump will still stop a flood in its tracks. When set at the highest level, this device can discharge up to 11,500 gallons or more of water! We made sure to install the entire system in this homeowner’s basement to prevent water from entering and damaging the area. The concrete floor was also restored after the installation of the sump pump was complete. Once our crew was done, the homeowner knew they could move and sell their home with no issues.
